Testimonial HES Energy - May - August 2016 Damien has recently successfully completed a total refurbishment of a one-bedroom apartment for me in preparation for reletting. There were numerous problems which necessitated the refurbishment. The main one was completely inadequate ventilation which was causing condensation and mould issues for residents. The work needed included installation of a PIV unit and a filterless fan in the bathroom with associated ducting. The outcome has been most satisfactory and air quality is superb now with an elimination of the previous condensation and mould issues. The apartment was over 15 years old and I decided to proceed with total refurbishment works which included a new kitchen, bathroom, windows, flooring, electric heating and ceilings. Damien oversaw all the trades required in this 'turn key' project and I was extremely happy with his advice, work and communication with me throughout. I also found him to be very personable and professional throughout. As the apartment is within a block, a certain sensitivity was needed to minimize disruption for residents and this was absolutely respected by Damien and all the workmen. As owner I never received any complaint about any work ongoing from neighbours or the management company. Likewise there were no problems with security or keys while many workmen required access to the apartment. This now high specification apartment is satisfactorily relet with a markedly increased monthly rental income. I anticipate it will not take too many years to recoup my investment in this property and consider this to be a successful project with a very good outcome for me as landlord.
